In 2019, Northeastern alumni Manny Lubin and Josh Belinsky co-founded Slate, a company that markets an adult version of the childhood favorite that is healthy and lactose free. With financial backing from IDEA, the university’s student-led venture accelerator, plus a branding collaboration with Scout, Northeastern’s in-house design studio, Slate has generated millions of dollars in retail sales.
